who is better, crosby or ovechkin? ovechkin has one decent goal ovechkin was a rookie of the year you tell me whos better PS: during the world juniors the year before these two came to the NHL, their respective teams went against each other. during one part, Ovechkin got the puck, and crosby hit him so hard that it dislocated ovechkins shoulder. please no comments about crosby being a pussy, cause you know he's not. Despite the fact your question is clearly loaded and you already have a bias I have to say Ovechkin he is doing a TON with a TON LESS than Crosby. I have a feeling this will be the modern era, Gretzky/Lemieux. Where one player Crosby/Gretzky has a TON of talent around them (and Malkin might be the next Messier) and stacks up the numbers and the other player Lemieux/Ovechkin plays for one of the worst teams for a very long time and puts up great numbers just not as great as the person to which he is most compared. I think Ovechkin has more raw talent but sadly his back and shoulders will collapse if he doesn't get a little bit of help lifting the team. Just like if you put Lemieux with the early 80s Oilers and Gretzky on the Penquins of the early 80s the numbers flip I feel the same scenario happens with Ovechkin and Crosby. |
